For founders who are always looking after everything but themselves

Running a business can be hectic and at times lonely work.
You’re holding up the team, the customers, the suppliers, the whole ecosystem. And you rarely stop long enough to take stock of where you are.

There’s no annual review for you.
(Which might be something you’re celebrating having left behind but it comes at a cost.)

No structured checkpoint.
No protected moment to zoom out and ask:
“How am I doing? What did this year really look and feel like? And what do I want from the next one?”

This hour gives you that space.

A guided, human conversation that helps you understand your year, reconnect with your strengths, and step into the new season with clarity, energy and intention.

What this is

A focused, one-hour performance focused conversation designed for founders, makers and small business leaders who don’t have a formal review process but know they’d benefit from one.

You’ll bring the raw material (based on prompts in the homework):

  • Your reflections

  • This year’s goals and results

  • Any feedback you’ve gathered

  • What felt good, what felt hard

  • What you suspect you might be avoiding

  • What you’re craving more of

I’ll bring structure, questions, pattern-spotting, and the experience of someone who’s built teams, grown things, and run a lot of reviews.

What you’ll walk away with

Combined with your reflections, we’ll power our way through an hour to give you:

  • A zoom out on the year you just lived

  • Recognition of your wins

  • Insights and patterns: what to double down on and what to avoid

  • A short list of meaningful priorities

  • A sense of direction and clarity on what’s most important for 2026

“I’ve scaled businesses, been the challenger, grown teams, and delivered tricky projects. I know what it’s like to be in your shoes — the pressure, the decisions, the juggling act.

That’s why I love to work side-by-side with founders and leadership teams to make things happen in the real world. These power hours really will be a great way to celebrate 2025 and focus on 2026”

— Kat, Director The Fwd Forge

A Leadership Team member since the start, Kat was part of building a high performance culture where taking the time to reflect annually on performance was always key. Kat believes in the power of people, and has run many many annual reviews with a focus on uncovering what’ll unlock success for the future.

FAQs

What prep is required?

After you book, I’ll send you a short reflection form and a place to upload anything you want me to see e.g. goals, results, feedback, notes, whatever shape your year took.
This could be completed in 1 hour at a summary level and you can take more time to go deeper on the prep. That’s up to you.
If you don’t have everything to hand, that’s fine. We’ll work with whatever you bring.

What if I don’t have a big team?

This hour isn’t about the size of your team it’s about your leadership, your energy and your focus.
Many solo founders or leaders of small teams find this especially helpful because they rarely have anyone to reflect with and often friends or investors aren’t the right audience for being open with.

I have a board — why would this help me?

Boards look at the business.
This hour looks at you.
Your energy, your patterns, your wins, your challenges, your focus for the next phase.
Even the most supportive board doesn’t usually create space for honest reflection, emotional check-ins or exploring how the year actually felt.
This session complements that more formal review with a grounded, human conversation. With space to open up and be vulnerable, or to talk about the bits and pieces you’d usually not cover with a board.

What if the session isn’t useful?

I’ve created this Power Hour to be useful. If you don’t leave with at least three clear priorities and a sense of what shaped your year, I offer a simple guarantee:
You can choose a partial refund or a follow-up call at no extra cost.
No awkwardness.

(as long as you did some prep in advance and attended the Power Hour of course)
